The Strand Center for the Arts Announces Jumpin’ in July Concert Every Thursday in July!

PLATTSBURGH, NY – The Strand Center for the Arts is excited to present its annual Jumpin’ in July concert series. The concerts, which will take place on The Strand Center for the Arts’ front lawn at 23 Brinkerhoff Street in downtown Plattsburgh, are free to the public and feature a variety of talented musicians and unique styles. With four separate concerts, there is something for everyone!

“We’re proud to offer our community access to a strong lineup of talented musicians through our Jumpin’ in July series,” says Joshua Kretser, The Strand Center for the Arts Executive Director.

The first concert in the Jumpin’ in July series is scheduled to take place on July 9th from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm and will showcase the amazing Dave Keller Band. A crowd favorite, this amazing blues guitarist is making Plattsburgh one of the featured destinations on his summer tour schedule.

The second concert is July 16th featuring Bella’s Bartok “Bella’s Bartok is a strange mix of a band, and with their absurdity lies their charm. Varied percussion, bright pianos, scratchy guitars, scattered horn sections, and group harmonies give their dancey tunes a distinct bohemian vibe, and their raw sound gives them something of a punk edge. Bella’s Bartok topped our New England open submission.”
– The Deli Magazine On this night we will again host The Chamber’s Business After Hours sponsored by ETS Staffing and Whitbeck and Associates Coldwell Banker Realtors.

July 23rd the band is the Equalities, One way to describe the band could be ‘ the Band’ that plays in the style of ‘reggae n soul’, it has that merging of roots rock and roots reggae soul that makes the unique blend that is the EQUALITES

The final concert in the Jumpin’ in July series takes place on July 30th and features LoveWhip. Lovewhip is a dance band that jams, and people love it. Playing a party-starting mix of psychedelic rock, dance-pop, and world music, the energy and presence of Lovewhip’s live shows is infectious, sexy, fun and over-the-top.

All concerts start at 5:30 pm to 7:00pm rain or shine! Bring a blanket or chairs!
