Hay & Grain Harvest Plus Music Weekend at Babbie Museum

Hay & Grain Harvest Plus Music Weekend – August 15-16, 2015 – Hours 10am – 4pm.  Watch harvesting of buckwheat and oats using antique farming equipment and loose hay being gathered and stored.  Ongoing demonstrations in the granary and the Blacksmith Shop.  Hand forged items for sale. Sun. Aug. 16 from 1:30 – 3:30, come listen to good old fashioned fiddling music by “Friends Union Band”.  Join in with the dancing and fun!  For the kids – make a cornhusk doll, pet the animals, play in the corn box, ride the stagecoach and Thomas the Train, and other hands-on activities.

Lunch will be available from Kat’s Katering.  Picnic tables on site.
