Peru residents should be aware that a person/persons entered a Jenkins Street home this morning between midnight and 5 a.m. After forcing open the kitchen door the thief(s) took car keys from the kitchen table and stole the resident’s vehicle. As of 8 p.m. the vehicle has not been located.

The family of three was upstairs sleeping at the time of the theft. Later today they installed dead bolts on two doors. Three other doors previously had dead bolts. They were not entered.
