Stop by the Babbie Museum this Weekend
If you haven’t visited the Babbie Museum in Peru, today or tomorrow (Sunday) would be great days to visit. This is Homesteading and Woodworking Weekend June 18 – 19 – Hours 10am-4pm. The Peru Gazette hadn’t visited the museum in some time. The progress is amazing! The museum is a great place for seniors and children alike!
Wood carving demonstrations by Champlain Valley Wood Carvers. Ongoing demonstrations of antique chain saws, shingle mill, and a planer and buzz saw run by hit and miss engines. Watch as flax is spun into linen (Brook Sylvan Spinnery). Try your hand at using a wash board or vintage wringer washer. Master Gardener on site to answer your gardening questions.
