I suspect some interesting state budget battles in future years.

In the past, state schools fought annual battles with the legislature in regard to raising tuition.

In most cases failing and tuition raises put off year after year.

I don’t see the annual budget battle changing and schools forced at some point to make deep cuts to include dropping courses and reducing maintenance.

Schools thought they had to tighten belts in the past. They haven’t seen nothing yet.

Plus, I see a huge increase in first year dropout rates (never reported) unless schools lower standards, as they will want to keep state funds rolling in.

Taxpayers hold on to your wallets.
