Board agenda includes modifications to outdoor boiler law

Posted October 14, 2008 by John T. Ryan

The Peru Town Board will hold its first meeting of the month on Thursday, October 16th at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was not held on Monday because of the Columbus Day holiday.

The Town Board’s agenda includes a discussion and possible resolution on modifications to the recently passed Outdoor Wood Boiler Law. Agricultural and town attorney proposals will be discussed. There will also be discussion of proposals received from Gary Bertrand and Cal Mitchell to purchase property from the Town. Highway Superintendent David Hislop and Carlene Heipel (not “Carlene Clark” as originally stated) will report on Highway Department fuel bills. A budgetary fund transfer, acceptance of contracts from Life Flight and Clinton County Assessment Services and a water/sewer bond disbursement proposal will be also subject to discussions and resolutions.

Community input on any town subject is welcomed at the beginning of the meeting. Public comments on agenda items are welcomed at the end of the meeting.

Dear John,
I believe it will be David Hislop and Carlene Heipel that will be presenting the Highway Dept. fuel bills, unless of course Carlene Clark has decided to come out of retirement. I miss her charm and wit.
My best,
Betsy Thompson
