PUBLIC HEARING:

1. APPLICATION: ROB BASHAW

Requesting an Area Variance for side and rear setback on

Calkins Rd.

Mr. Bashaw recused himself for his application. Mr. Blaine took the floor and stated that the applicant is seeking approval for a 15’ set back for the side and rear lot lines prior to construction of a 20’x 36’ multi-use structure. Mr. Bashaw took the floor and explained the lay of the land and where this structure is to be constructed. The variances requested are 10’ for side set back and 20’ for rear set back. Mr. Bashaw referenced two letters of approval from his neighbors. Mr. McBrayer asked what the structure will be used for. Mr. Bashaw stated it is to be used to house his tractor. He further stated the structure will be sided to match the house yet the back side of the structure will be left open and it is facing the back side of property. Mr. McBrayer asked why the setbacks of the zoning ordinance could not be met. Mr. Bashaw stated the reason for the variance is due to the location of the house and septic, he stated this really is the only place to put this structure.

MOTION: Mr. Fusco made a motion to approve the variance. Second by Mr. Denchick.

ROLL CALL Mr. Falvo – yes, Mr. Denchick – yes, Mr. Fusco- yes, Mr. Zalis – yes, Mr. Bosley – yes, Mr. McBrayer- no.

MOTION CARRIED.

Mr. Blaine excused himself due to a prior scheduled meeting.
