Clinton County Legislator Area 5

Vote for  Pete Keenan for Clinton County Legislator Area 5 and please strongly urge others to do the same. He is a lifelong resident of the Clinton County and has an undisputed wealth of experience in dealing with people and knowledge of government issues. Pete retired after 26 years as a corrections officer and went on to be the Peru town Justice for 24 years. He is community minded and has been a member of and worked actively with the Knights of Columbus for over 30 years. There is no a doubt  that he is the best candidate for the position.  Be assured that he will put maximum effort into being your Clinton County Legislator

Please join me in supporting Pete Keenan

Brandy McDonald
I have known and observed Brandy McDonald for some time. He has worked extremely hard at filling his duties as a Town of Peru Councilman and Deputy Supervisor. He is very dedicated to his responsibilities, In making decisions, his first priority is always “what is best for the Town of Peru”. He makes himself available to all residents in a respectful manner. He is a young man, however, I am very impressed with his decision making ability. He always gets all the facts before making a decision. He displays the judgment of a true professional. Brandy likes what he is doing and the results show it. He thrives on the responsibility that he has been given.
It is refreshing that we now have a Town of Peru Council that is working as a team in the best interests of Peru. At times, in past years, this was not happening.  Change for just making a change is not prudent. “If it is not broken don’t fix it.”
Brandy is now running for reelection as a councilman. I encourage all Peru Voters to support him. He has proven himself many times over and is time tested. He has experience with the job.
Thank you

Hello Fellow Peruvian,

If you received this email it is because you are someone I have come to trust and respect as a neighbor, friend, or colleague.

As you know I am the Chair of the Peru Republican Committee, and as Chair I am the head of a great team of candidates who are very compassionate about Peru. Because we work so closely together as a team we have gotten to really know each other very well over the past year. And it is because of that sense of teamwork and comradery; I feel I have a deep obligation to say a few things about our candidates this year.

I’ll start with JIMMY LANGLEY who is running for County Legislature in District 7. Jimmy is a good friend, and an exceptional businessman. His attention to detail is incredible, and even though he is running unopposed, please vote for him to show him we’re behind him for his final term.

SHERM HAMEL is our other County Legislature Candidate. Sherm is an exception businessman with a real knack for solving problems. We worked together all summer on campaigns for him, his wife Donna, and several other candidates running in Peru and Schuyler Falls. Sherm never tires. He never gets frustrated. His energy is infectious, and I can’t wait to see him roll up his sleeves and get to work as Legislature.

Of course we have our Town Council Race.
I’ve really gotten to know GEOFF SPEAR over the last several months, and he is a great guy who really cares about Peru. You only need to talk with Geoff for a couple minutes to understand how honest and sincere he is.
Geoff has expressed a concern he has noticed concerning the number of ongoing discussions at Town Board Meetings. As councilor he plans to expedite the process of discussion to actual motions to see things get done for Peru in a timelier manner.

Geoff has also been attending our Comprehensive Plan Committee Meetings (of which I am a member) and has been studying the new Zoning Law we’re working on. This critical piece of legislation is vital to the future of Peru. It does nothing short of shape our future. Geoff is very aware of this, and plans to continue working closely with us every step of the way as we wrap it up.

As you know, I’ve been going to Town Board Meetings for years, and I’ve learned there are two types of Town Councilor:
# 1 – A Town Councilor who sets goals and higher expectations.
# 2 – A Town Councilor who keeps things as they are.
#1 has a vision. He doesn’t want to see his job as simply marking time. He plans for his town’s future and acts on that plan. GEOFF SPEAR will be that kind of Town Councilor when elected on November 8th.

So I’m asking you this:
When you’re in the Voting Booth on Tuesday, November 8th: Don’t be distracted by partisan politics. Don’t be confused by the number of lines a candidate might be on. Don’t be put off by all the Facebook posts, emails, road signs, banners, and fliers.
Instead use your head. Ask yourself, “Who is truly the best choice?” Then Vote.

I’m Voting for Jimmy Langley, Sherm Hamel, and Geoff Spear. Because I honestly know in my heart they are the best choices.

I’ll see you at the polls,
Don McBrayer, Chair
Peru Republican Committee
