NYSEG crews repair pole and restore power following vehicle accident

Power was out from about 1pm to 4:30pm in sections of the hamlet after a car crashed into a power pole across from Valehaven Home for the Aged.  The driver of the car, who had minor injuries, hit the pole as she left Valehaven at the end of her shift.  NYSEG crews had four lifts working to remove the damaged pole and hook up the new, slightly taller one.  The power outage caused Stewart’s to lose plenty of ice cream sales on this 88+ degree day.
