Information for SUNY Plattsburgh Graduates
Each year, the SUNY Plattsburgh Alumni Association recognizes notable alumni and faculty or staff who have made outstanding contributions to the Alumni Association, the college and/or the community. At this time, we are seeking nominations for the following awards:
Distinguished Alumni Award
The Distinguished Alumnus or Alumna Award is presented by the college and the Plattsburgh Alumni Association Board of Directors to honor graduates of SUNY Plattsburgh for their professional achievements, contributions to society and service to the college.
Faculty or Staff Impact Award
This award is presented to a faculty or staff member, current or retired, who has made a major and lasting positive impact on the life of alumni.
Off to a Good Start Alumni Award
This award is presented to an alumnus or alumna within the first 10 years after graduation, who is off to a good start in a career, who demonstrates a sense of responsibility within his or her community and continues to have a relationship with SUNY Plattsburgh.
Robert M. Garrow ’52 Alumni Service Award
In honor of Robert M. Garrow ’52, the Alumni Service Award recognizes an alumnus or alumna who has demonstrated outstanding service to the alma mater and has done so in keeping with the traditions of SUNY Plattsburgh.
Please nominate someone you believe deserves to be recognized by going to alumni.plattsburgh.edu/awards.
The deadline for submissions is Feb. 15. If a nominee is not selected for an honor this year, the selection committee may carry forward the nomination for future consideration.
