Technology Working On Sewer System Upgrade
May 28, 2021 – A horizontal drill is drilling under the Peru Community Church Fellowship Center driveway this morning. A 10-inch diameter inch bit is burrowing under the asphalt. A smaller bit preceded it. An 8-inch polyurethane sewer pipe will eventually be installed. Horizontal drilling is expensive but causes much less disruption than digging up sidewalks, lawns, and highways. The same procedure will be used on portions of Elm St. and Main St. though digging will take place at some locations.
