Peru Dollar General Closed Until Further Notice

It sounds like old news; however, the Dollar General at 3073 Main St. is closed due to unsafe conditions. Code Enforcement Officer Robert Guynup ordered the store closed Wednesday because it does not have a functioning bathroom, a violation of New York State Property Maintenance law.

This is the store’s second recent closure. Guynup ordered the store closed on December 3, 2021, when its interior temperatures reached the low 40s and merchandise carts blocked an exit door. It didn’t reopen until mid-January.
