Trekonderoga returns to Ticonderoga September 18–20, celebrating 60 years of Star Trek and the unveiling of the series’ restored Galileo shuttlecraft. The ribbon cutting is taking place on Friday, September 18 at 5:30 p.m.
On Friday evening, Star Trek Original Series Set Tour will officially unveil the Galileo inside its brand-new shuttle bay. The weekend also brings Star Trek legends Jonathan Frakes, George Takei, and Brent Spiner to Ticonderoga, along with set tours, special events, and fan experiences.
The Galileo shuttlecraft:
After decades of deterioration and storage, the iconic prop was restored by superfan Adam Schneider and team; it previously spent time at Space Center Houston before moving to Ticonderoga.
The permanent display features a custom-built shuttle bay complete with programmable scene walls.
On-Screen History: The full-scale Galileo model was featured in seven episodes of Star Trek: The Original Series, most notably the 1967 classic “The Galileo Seven”.
The Star Trek Original Series Set Tour, is a meticulous recreation of the interior sets from the original 1960s TV series. It is the only fully CBS-licensed recreation of the original Star Trek sets in the world.
