Saturday, November 5 – Congratulations to Peru student Alexis Hathaway who surpassed a 100-meter backstroke record that stood for twenty-seven years. Plattsburgh – Saturday, November 5, 2022 – The Peru Nighthawks defeated the Beekmantown Eagles 42 -8 to win the Section VII, Class B, 2022 Boys Football Championship. The game was played on the Plattsburgh High School field. The Nighthawks led 27-0 at halftime. Click here to view Peru Gazette pre-game and pre-halftime photos.

The Peru Lions Club was at BOCES (Rise for the Center of Success) Friday morning, performing vision screenings for twenty-seven five and six-year-olds. Lions participants were Ed Eisele, David Dalton, Craig Randall, and Carlene Wood.
