Fire Department 2011 budget will not increase

The Peru Volunteer Fire Department budget for 2011 will remain at $571,940 according to Department Secretary-Treasurer Robert Akey.  The tax rate is expected to decline from $1.30 per thousand dollars of assessed valuation to $1.29 per thousand.
