Davern Road closure extended until 5 PM on Thursday

Peru – July 24, 2024—As of 10:20 a.m., paving was underway on Davern Road between Route 22 and Union Rd. The Town of Ausable Highway Department works with Peru personnel under shared services. This afternoon, the Peru Highway Department issued a statement extending the road closure until 5 p.m. Thursday.

A portion of Davern Road closed Wednesday

The Town of Peru Highway Department will close Davern Road from State Route 22 to Union Road on Wednesday, July 24th, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for paving. There will be no through traffic except for local residents and emergency vehicles.

Cook Rd. culvert installation underway

Tuesday, July 2, 2024—Replacing the Cook Road culvert is underway. Today, a giant crane lifted the massive precast concrete box culvert into place. Ed Garrow and Sons, Inc., is the general contractor. A Luck Bros. crane did the heavy lifting.

Telegraph Road closed just south of the Sullivan Rd. intersection

Supervisor Brandy McDonald said the road was to be closed at 2:30 p.m. until urther notice.  Highway Superintendent Mike Farrell will be closing the section of Telegraph Road indefinitely at 2:30 pm. between house # 403 and 382.    Any questions can be directed to him at 518-369-4845.   See the previous Peru Gazette story for more details

Update – Telegraph Rd. will be closed at 2:30 p.m., April 26, 2024.

The closure is about one-quarter mile south of the Sullivan Rd. intersection.
