August 28, 2026 – The Town of Peru Highway Department has announced that at 5 pm the Lyons Road box culvert replacement project will be completed and the road will be re-opened at that time.

By John T Ryan Deputy Town Supervisor Melvin Irwin chaired this meeting replacing vacationing Supervisor Craig Randall. The board accepted Steve Imhoff’s resignation as Interim Code Enforcement Officer (CEO). CEO Duane Bibeau has completed his training and testing and is now fully certified. August 27, 2026, Lyons Road, Per u, NY – Contractor Ed Garrow and Sons, Inc. plans to complete the Lyons Road culvert replacement project either tomorrow (Friday) or very early next week. Finishing touches were in progress today. Lyons Road has been closed to thru-traffic since July 21.

August 17, 2026 – The Peru Water Sewer Parks Department successfully replaced a sewer line at 22 Maiden Lane today. The homeowners also replaced the sewer line leading into their house. The street is open again.
