Officers Assumed Duties July 1
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Ken Knelly has been elected president of the Rotary Club of Plattsburgh for the 2022-23 year.
Knelly, who serves as chief of staff in the Office of the President at SUNY Plattsburgh, was previously vice president of the service club organization. He succeeded Nicole Laurin, chief executive officer at JCEO, on July 1.
“I’m proud to lead this club for the next year, following in the footsteps of others who have led this club so well,” Knelly said. “We practice service above self and are an integral part of our community. I hope to build on our past successes and revive and start traditions as well.”
Following the Rotary International theme of “Imagine Rotary,” Knelly has keyed his leadership year on fun activities, a focus on the continued strength of the club, and strategically looking toward the future. The club’s signature community events include the Plattsburgh Rotary Fishing Tournament the first weekend each June.
