“Styles Brook originates in the Jay Mountain Wilderness area descending 2187 feet until it reaches the East Branch of the Ausable River at 766ft at a bridge on Route 9N – halfway between the Hamlets of Keene and Upper Jay.  Approximately eight to eleven inches of rain fell over a ten-hour period August 28, 2011 causing devastation across the Ausable River watershed.
