Clinton County Reports 19 Additional Lab-Confirmed Covid Cases Since Last Thursday

Since our 8/5 update, 19 additional lab-confirmed COVID-19 positive cases have been reported.
Note: Our next case update will be posted on Thursday, August 12.

– A full list of Clinton County COVID-19 testing providers can be found at www.clintonhealth.org/covid19.
– CCHD offers free COVID-19 vaccine clinics every Thursday from 10:00am to 12:00 noon. To register call 518-565-4848.
– Vaccination data: https://public.tableau.com/…/viz/Covid-Draft/Dashboard. According to the North Country COVID Vaccine Dashboard 95,463 total doses of COVID-19 Vaccine were given in Clinton County as of 7/25. As of 7/25, 62% of all Clinton County residents had at least one dose of the vaccine and 59% of residents had completed their vaccine series. 71% of residents 18 years and older have received at least one dose.
– Percentage positive results: https://forward.ny.gov/percentage-positive-results-county…. According to NYSDOH 269 people were tested in Clinton County on 8/7. As of 8/7, 7-day average % positive in Clinton County = 2.5%.

“The stretch of Route 86-known as The Notch- will be reduced to a single lane with alternating traffic flows on weekdays between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. The work is slated to facilitate drainage repairs.”

Remembering Irene, 10 years later: The Flooding of Styles Brook – The Adirondack Almanack

“Styles Brook originates in the Jay Mountain Wilderness area descending 2187 feet until it reaches the East Branch of the Ausable River at 766ft at a bridge on Route 9N – halfway between the Hamlets of Keene and Upper Jay.  Approximately eight to eleven inches of rain fell over a ten-hour period August 28, 2011 causing devastation across the Ausable River watershed. The Towns of  Keene and Jay were hit the hardest.”
