New Peru School Superintendent may be named tomorrow

Peru School Board Has Special Meeting April 24, 2012

Peru Central School District’s Board of Education will have a brief, special meeting on Tuesday, April 24th at 6 PM at the school district’s community room, adjacent to the main entrance of Peru High School. A short executive session associated with the performance history of a particular individual being considered for employment as successor Superintendent of Schools will take place immediately following the 6 PM start. The school board is slated to reconvene for public session business ten to fifteen minutes later.

It’s anticipated the school board will consider appointing an individual to be the successor Superintendent of Schools at Peru Central School District. No other action or school district business is expected at this brief, special meeting of April 24th.

Peru Scouts’ breakfast to benefit the Humane Society

Peru Boy Scout Troop 49 will host a pancake breakfast to benefit the Adirondack Humane Society at Applebee’s on Saturday, April 28th from 8 AM to 10 AM.  The cost is $8 a person, with children under 5 served free of charge.  Please turn out to support the scouts in this community service program.
