Peru’s Proposed 2019 Tax Rates Virtually Unchanged
Residents will have the opportunity to ask questions about the proposed 2019 Town of Peru budget at the public hearing scheduled for Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 7 p.m at the Town Hall. Tax rates are holding relatively steady with general fund tax rates increasing from $2.27 per thousand dollars of assessed valuation to $2.33. The Highway Department tax rate will decrease from $2.53/m to $2.45/m. Property owners who had a recent assessed value increase will, of course, see a tax increase.
