Kristy Kennedy’s Expanded Role at the North Country Chamber of Commerce
We are pleased to announce that long time employee Kristy Kennedy, has accepted a new position at the North Country Chamber of Commerce. For the past 12 years, she has been our VP, Marketing spearheading the Adirondack Coast Visitors Bureau, but with the recent retirement of Jody Parks, we have adjusted Kristy’s role. She is now the Chamber’s VP of Marketing and Business Development. She will maintain her leading role in marketing and the Visitors Bureau but she will now also oversee our membership, events and fundraising programs.
Kristy was also recently recognized by Assemblyman Billy Jones as one of his seven 2020 honorees as a “Woman of Distinction”, in the category of Economic Development!
We have no doubt that the transition will be seamless and in true Kristy fashion she is eager to develop this newly expanded role.
Congratulations, Kristy!

CUOMO: “Movie Theaters I Think Are Next (To Reopen)”
Gov. Andrew Cuomo offered some hope Wednesday that movie theaters in New York could reopen soon.
“Movie theaters I think are next,” he said during an interview on WAMC. “They are a situation that we have to attend to.”
Theaters are among the last businesses that have not been allowed to reopen in New York after months of shutdowns due to the coronavirus.
In addition to movie theaters we continue to advocate for guidelines for other businesses still closed, including amusement & entertainment centers.
