Most charges against Covels have been dismissed

By John T. Ryan Peru Town Supervisor Donald Covel told the Peru Gazette this morning, “All charges against me have been dismissed with the exception of the charge related to the firing of Paul Blaine.” Covel’s statement was confirmed by the Clinton County Court and by Covel’s attorney Mark Cowen.

Family Court Judge, Presidential voting analyzed – who got write-in ballots

By John T. Ryan Most people would probably agree that the most interesting local political contest in the November elections was the race for Clinton County Family Court Judge. Nationally, the Presidential race will go down in history and Clinton County voters did their part to elect Barrack Obama to office.

Local homes sales continue to decline

By John T. Ryan Clinton County existing home sales slowed significantly in November according to figures released Tuesday by the New York State Association of Realtors. Clinton County’s sales were relatively strong through August, but since then they have declined steadily. Median home prices also declined compared to last year.

Witkiewitz family thanks everyone!
