“In accordance with CDC’s recommendations, which were officially endorsed by New York Sept. 24, there are four groups of New Yorkers now eligible for COVID-19 booster doses. Pfizer vaccine recipients are now eligible for a booster dose if they are 65 and older or residents in long-term care facilities or are 50-64 of age with underlying conditions. “It’s not often that voters get a shot at immediate results. But that’s exactly the opportunity New Yorkers will have this fall, as a proposal to amend the state constitution faces its final hurdle. The proposed “Green Amendment” would guarantee clean air and water as a legal right in New York. It passed the New York State Legislature in 2019 and 2021; if a simple majority of voters approve the measure on Nov. 2, it will become enshrined in the state constitution in January.”

While there have been plenty of jokes, memes and press coverage, students are facing real challenges attending school in a building that wasn’t intended to be a school.”
