Morgan Flynn and Nathanael LePage are Deans’ List students

The following Peru residents have been named to the Siena College Deans’ List for the Fall 2012 semester.

Morgan Flynn, a junior English education major, of Peru, NY.

Nathanael LePage, a senior Spanish major, of Peru, NY.

To be named to the Deans’ List, a student’s grade point average for the semester must be between 3.5 and 3.89. A total of 733 students were named to the Deans’ List for the Fall 2012 semester.

Siena College is a learning community advancing the ideals of a liberal arts education, rooted in its identity as a Franciscan and Catholic college. Located in Loudonville, N.Y., two miles north of the state capital, the 176-acre beautiful, suburban campus is home to 3,000 undergraduates. Siena offers over 1,200 program combinations from 27 majors and 48 minor and certificate programs.

Matching Fund Program doubles Peru K of C’s donations

St. Augustine’s Council Knights of Columbus Council 7273 took advantage of the 2012-13 New York State Council Knights of Columbus Catholic School Support Program.  To encourage donations to Catholic schools, the State Council agreed to match council contributions between $500 and $1000 up to a total of $50,000. A few months ago the Peru Council contributed $1,000 to Holy Name School in AuSable Forks,  $750 to Seton Academy and $750 to Seton Catholic Central School in Plattsburgh.  Now the State Council has matched those contributions.
